As we finally get some warm weather we shall be out at Aldreth Vintage Fair this morning, dancing at 11:30 and 12:30 which is just after the Spitfire fly past. Come along and join the fun.
Tonight will be the first dance out of this year and we will be at The Chequers in Sutton-in-the-Isle from 7pm. This will also be the first outing for our new kit. Assuming that is that everyone has finished wielding needle and thread and that we get the t-shirts back from the printers. We are all quite excited about this as we have had a recent injection of energy as well as some new dances.
Please do come and join us.
It’s really beginning to feel like spring is on its way now, at least there is more chance that the rain will not be quite so cold!
A recent increase in our numbers caused by the repatriation of a couple of ex-pats from their sojourn in the antipodes has meant that our previous practice venue could no longer contain us all. So we are now using larger halls and our dancing is really benefiting from the increased space. Although our last venue had the great advantage of being cheap, it was also a bit of a squash even with so few of us. Our new members have also brought new dances along for us to learn. Look out for our debut of them once we get out and about again.
We will be dancing in the city of Ely this coming Saturday which is coincidentally halloween.
We should start outside the cathedral at around 10:30am. After that we will move on, probably to near the market square and then down by the river somewhere. We may well end up in the Cutter for a bit of a drink afterwards.
Please do come and say hello if you see or hear us around.
